INTERNET RELAY CHAT

This page is intended for people wanting to chat about Star Wars, the Emperor's Hammer, or the Hammer's Fist, that don't know how to get started. If you are already an experienced user of a chat client but don't know what channel to go to, please just follow the directions below. Comments, questions, and suggestions can be sent to Colonel Three of 4.

BASIC INFO

For experienced users, the info you'll need to connect is below. If you don't understand what that means, please skip this section and continue to "Clients."
Server: Undernet
Channel: #Hammer's_Fist

CLIENTS

Before doing anything, you will need an IRC client, or program, in order to connect and chat with other people. Below are a few popular programs for connecting to an IRC server and chatting.

mirc (i suggest this one)
Pirch (This one also works)

SERVERS

There are several servers that you can connect to to access The Hammer's Fist IRC channel. Once you find one you like, all you have to do is type, in the window named 'Status,' /server . AOL users need to specify the port as 6669 (i.e. /server 6669). Below are some servers:

us.undernet.org (Random United States server)
eu.undernet.org (Random European server)
phoenix.az.us.undernet.org
washington.dc.us.undernet.org
los-angeles.ca.us.undernet.org
sandiego.ca.us.undernet.org

CHANNELS

Once you are connected to a server, you will need to connect to the Hammer's Fist channel. In order to do this, type in the 'Status' window again, /join #Hammer's_Fist. Hopefully there will be people chatting there to help you and talk to you. However, if there isn't anyone there, you might want to swing by these channels:
